After reading the updated proposal, I have one final (albeit fundamental) question. Where are we after 3 month’s retainer is over? Hire Jon for another 3 months? Find another director/videographer with different taste/style and direction?
I think people want to know endgame or roadmap. Perhaps if we’re styling this proposal as “minimum viable product we need to start sending to film studios and we’ll extend Jon’s contract if milestones are met” that would help clear up the proposal’s mission. Otherwise we’re just asking for Jon to make footage for us and then figuring out the next chapter of this Doc’s production saga.
For the record, I love Jon and I want him bad. I’m just hung up on the 3 month contract.

this is correct, the plan is to get the next 3 months covered bc we have a chance to lock Jon in and need him for Doge Doc on the pilgrimage:
re: post 3 months - plan would be to bring on Jon full time but with additional, diversified funding resources (i.e. trad documentary producer, pleasr, doge dao, doge community, all options)

Approved by DAO on April 7, so will get us to mid July (aprox July 17 Jon can move to supporting the film full time) and will circle back with a progress report and next steps.
We are also prepping for Japan interviews and footage alongside the Doge Pilgrimage, as well as our pitch deck for Hollywood studios.
