I also wanted to through out a discussion thread about ways to stay aligned to the Doge ethos of fun and silliness in DAO governance.

One thought is that we could vote on Snapshot (or in community channels in polls) on fun things like ‘what merch item should we add to the store’ or ‘what should we name the doge documentary’ or ‘what’s the next world record we should break’ or ‘where should doge go next’ etc.

Would love any thoughts y’all have on fun votes that are more Doge culture related and would be fun to decide or vote into existence…

am pretty open to ideas including voting on a snapshot but I also think voting on polls would work too! We would need to probably do this on one platform such as TG or even as a poll post from our main X page (since we have maj of community on X & tg)

Could even include different emojis to vote for the respective choices could be fun way to incorporate fun dogely vibes. i.e.

idea for polls is we could do polls in 2 steps
pt 1- provide 4+ options then community votes
pt 2- do another poll with the top 2-3 finalist for community to vote on

just wanted to share a few ideas that came to mind but again, am open to what our team & community thinks would be most fun and would help increase participation

Would prefer polls gated by role/ownership over weighted votes like snapshot when it comes to silly votes that we want more community members to engage with (instead of “fairly” reflecting big stakeholder’s opinion).

1.Which Doge meme phrase should we print on the next limited-edition shirt? e.g to the moon, Atsuko is our Leonardo Vinci,Doge is the monalisa

2.Apart from doge day
What should be the next location for a Doge meetup?

3.What should the Doge meme of the year be? E.g power to the puppers, Doge is the monalisa

And In my opinion community poll vote serves better

hmmm one idea that comes to mind is what if we made doge day into some sort of choose your own the doge adventure (have heard others mention something similar b4) we could have multiple side events or have some IRL quests or missions. if you complete all then you get a special prize of some sort. I am sure I could think on other ideas as well but an IRL gameified experience is what first comes to mind. ofc we could still have like a chill festival part/ceremony at Doge Day. Maybe we could help out small businesses locally? as well as still selling merch, food trucks (kind of like a small vendor fair/farmer’s market).

Another thought would be doing some sort of Doge Day concert or talent show to draw in more people. could be cool if all songs and talents were all dog(e) related!
