That’s okay Peter. It happens. Sometimes auto correct doesn’t work. Like in my phone if I try to type the same it puts a space automatically between the two English words “bro” and “pump”. If I was to type the same word a few times it saves it in cache as I’ve used it a few times before. I just haven’t written that word enough it seems.
Let’s get back to the IP discussion. I understand your point. You’re saying bropump Neiro can’t deliver and is poorly formed to steward IP. In my opinion. Considering we don’t have supply control as the second commenter underneath you has put. We seem to show up in force when needed as a community and deliver without the financial resources afforded to the few.
Sure a team that knows each other could possibly deliver more tangible results. But based on experience. Allowing anyone with the relevant skills and knowledge. Powered with the ability to create action within an ecosystem of people can actually be incredibly effective. This is authentic decentralised governance. Many open source projects and tokens are built on the same. I believe DOGE is like this.
This disorganised and decentralised governance backed by real holders does a few things:
-
Makes sure the people working on anything are there for the right reason.
-
Makes is safer for the community as many projects that have centralised teams can rug projects often.
-
Makes the people working on things more resilient and broadened. Attracting people of higher caliber who are simply interested in doing so.
This is common in open source software. Where the best developers end up assisting to do the best work and pushing the project forward. NodeJS is a great example of this. It was run by a company. It then went back to open source governance once the community found the “team” wasn’t delivering. Now it’s the most used backend system in the world. To give you a secondary argument, another open source software system, Ruby on Rails, runs Airbnb, Grab (Asia/Gojek) and Shopify the worlds largest e-commerce platform, had a developer with very little knowledge in programming and within a year he was on the core team.
You don’t know what amazing people you’ll find. Set yourself with mission and purpose to be inclusive and they’ll find you.
Thanks for your opinion
