My concerns were if the mint failed, how were they going to deliver on their promises? This article makes me feel better about that and I believe it is credibility to warrant a closer look. I would love to see Doge in as many games as possible! I am however still going to be cautious on the mint price, what you are getting at mint vs. what they are promising don’t seem at par today. I am just not sure if buying a NFT or two in hopes of building a relationship is the right direction to take, I would much rather of liked to see someone from there team in here making such proposal. Just my two cents. NFA

I’d say it’ll be lucky to sell 25-50% at that price but could totally be wrong. That money goes fast if you start hiring expensive development, paying to stay legal, business costs, etc…
Per the article from rach, dated March 2022, they praised $7 million in funding and their first drop was slated to be Q2 of 2022. So this tells me they’ve potentially spent millions on , hopefully, development but still have returned nothing to their angel investors yet. I’m seeing more red flags. The founder couple also left L.A. to move to Wales, which I can only assume would be for tax purposes at this point. Be careful, it looks to me like they have a lot of wishful thinking.

I’m not saying it can’t succeed. I’m just skeptical of every NFT project after having lived through all the ICO madness of 2017 stuff prior. The wording of the white paper, to me, seems filled with lots of hope that is yet to be fulfilled. There are lots of ‘ifs’ and whatnot in it. I think they still have a long road ahead for major success.
I would expect them to have a plot in sandbox with one of their angel investors being one of the major players in sandbox. However, him and all the other angel investors expect a return on investment, which is why they throw money down, and, so far, have gotten nothing in return from what I can tell. I just see it as an ultra-risky investment until they have a proven product. With $7M in investment, I would also think that their treasury would have money to buy all the vouchers that weren’t purchased by outsiders. I see that as sitting on inventory. If they burned them, it would be throwing money down the drain. I can’t predict where the project will go, just stating my view from what I’ve seen in the past.
Spoke to Smoke about this. Maybe we shift perspective and treat this as a bounty for Rach, I don’t think we can justify the DAO buying 1 of these based on the above, however, Rach is super awesome on twitter, she is core member of our community, and is joining every event.
How about this:
- Rach gets .17 ETH worth of $DOG (285.66 USD) to buy a petaverse NFT for herself
- Rach helps @ownthedoge get 3 Twitter Spaces with DAOs, NFT projects, or companies that have significant followings (10k followers, good engagement, no rugs). Radio,shack, Slimjim, or other meme brands would be awesome.
- Rach helps promote OTD events on twitter (Meme Mondays, Community Calls, etc.)
- Rach makes 5 funny memes under big account tweets (elon?) and tags Ownthedoge
Yes 100% on board I’m in alignment. We will be fleshing out more details on the Ambassador program, but we feel this is the perfect bounty to test this concept.
i agree. i don’t really agree with the proposal in its current state (really don’t know what the DAOge can do with a couple of these NFTs), but the intentions are pure. i think this is better to empower Rach with these relationship building skills in return for incentives. Updating the proposal to be more bounty based would get my support.

I’m also bullish on Rach, and want to support her continued involvement with OTD. Agree with the above. It doesn’t seem like a super clear reason for OTD to invest in this project, but making frens is important to us, and Rach is a fren who is good at making more frens. I think it’s essentially a low enough cost to wear whatever risk there is of the project sucking.
