Love memes? Love Doge? Love creating creatively creative projects and building them?
Or maybe you just want your dreams to come true?
Well, sers and mams, I think you might want to submit a proposal to Own The Doge’s Bark Tank.
We make dreams come true over at Own The Doge, or what many people call us, the Doge DAO, because we give doge community members a simple, on-chain way to get grants to create dogely magic.
That could be big, lofty projects like the Doge Documentary, Bronze The Doge, Doge Pixel Portal, and auctioning off the literal Doge couch (!), or they could be small, effective projects like Layer3 bounties, art projects, or educational content.
So, here’s how you submit a winning proposal:
Step 1 – walk right on over to ownthedoge.com and make sure you are acquainted with the Own The Doge project, past successful projects and Bark Tank proposals, and are chatting with your dog frens in Discord and Twitter. Own The Doge | Twitter, Instagram, TikTok | Linktree for all the linkz!

Step 2 – peruse some of the pitches and proposals at https://dao.ownthedoge.com/ to see what projects have gotten funded and which weren’t.
Here are a few good examples of proposals that got funded:

Step 3 – Review the template in order to create a proposal draft that has all the right elements. It’s okay to add more detail, but don’t skimp on why your proposal will help us make Doge the Mona Lisa of the internet.

Catchy Title & Tagline
Elevator Pitch (pitch us about your project and how it would help the Own The Doge and DOG token in growth, utility, treasury revenue, community perks, or doing good)
Grant Amount Requested (USD & DOG amounts w/ breakdown) – not required if your idea doesn’t need funding
KPIs (tell us how we know the project would be successful, i.e. new DOG holders, DOG utility, news stories, Twitter impressions)
Meet the Team
Outline yourself and/or team’s experience and expertise in the area, as well as any passions, hobbies and other notable facts you would like to include.
What brought you to Doge? What does she mean to you?
Plan
Please provide a detailed breakdown of your proposal, timeline, resources needed, developer building time, and why it’s dogely.
Finances
Please provide a cost breakdown with reasoning. Link a Google Sheet if you want.
Is there a revenue element to this proposal?
If yes, what are the ways that this proposal could help to provide revenue for the Own The Doge community treasury? If revenue is earned we always require a percentage to go to a DAO-chosen charity.
Are there risks or legal considerations?
Can you receive payment in installments or do you need the full budget up front? Vesting is preferred.
Timeline
Approximately how long will this take from start to finish?
Please include a basic chart that identifies the key goals in relation to your timeline.
Provide input on a checks and balances system to ensure consistent progress and optimal utilization of the grant.
Step 4 – Draft your idea and post it on dao.ownthedoge.com. Then you’ll get comments and support to make any edits. Make sure to use the magic components of a winning proposal:
- Doge - is this uniquely Doge? Does it propagate the legend and lore of Doge, Kabosu, and Atsuko? Does it solidify Doge as the Mona Lisa of the Internet?
- Virality - try to choose an idea that’s mad hype, newsworthy, and gets people excited.
- Results - how will this project megaphone the mission of Own The Doge and awareness of DOG token?
- Action - can you execute on this by yourself or with people you know? (We can sometimes help play matchmaker to community talent, but if you can find these frens ahead of time in Discord or on Twitter, your chances of approval go way up!)
Step 5 – Share your idea! Stop by the Own The Doge Discord. Come onto a Woof Weekly every Thursday at 11AM PT, pitch it and get live feedback. Tweet about it on le Twitter. Evangelize your proposal.
Step 6 – Become a lobbyist. Depending on your proposal, it may go up for vote. Once you have a final draft complete with iterations of feedback it’s time to lobby the DAO and community to support your idea.

Dope Doge Merch – think things like Wet Dog Cologne, meme-y toys and wearables, or custom swag based on the Doge Pixels you own.
Doge as Art – literally anything. Get Doge into galleries and museums. Find famous social media artists and have them make Doge of whatever unique art they do. Street art. Stickers. Funny protest signs. You name it.
“Rare Doges” NFT collections – we want to see digital artists adopt Doge just like Pepe. Think RarePepes, Notable Pepes, and Punk6529 Memecards. If interested, ping Tridog for a project brief on this.
Doge Pixel PFPs – integrate a PFP mintoor into pixels.ownthedoge.com
Doge Nouns – fork Nouns into a Doge derivative that drives fun art and recurring revenue for the Own The Doge treasury supporting our dogely work for generations
Doge for President – write her in on your ballot!
Gamify Doge – make Doge games. Add Doge as a character in games, metaverses and virtual worlds. Ask Fortnite to add Doge characters or swag. Endless possibilities.
Doge Memes – from Tiktok videos to gifs and sticker packs. Own The Doge wants MOAR project-specific MEMES!
Collabs and Connections – introduce us to people that can help the project. Funny celebrities, musicians, or comedians. Brands willing to partner (Doge Gucci sweater anyone?). Podcasters looking for guests. Twitter Spaces hosts. Frens. Westminster Dog Show. Get Ryan Cohen to own the Doge for heaven’s sake.
Doge in the Guiness Book of Records – or Ripley’s Believe it or Not. Most expensive meme ever sold. First couch sold on blockchain. Most famous dog in the word. Com’n guys! We got more where that came from.
BIG DOGE – make the largest Doge art piece. A crop circle. A parade float. Projection art. Macy’s Day Parade balloon. Rename a stadium or championship game the “Dog Bowl.” Airplane banner. Fireworks. Drones.
DOG Food – for humans (hot dog brand?) or dogs (kibble w/ Yung Gravy topping?).
Doge as X – Doge as (or on) any possible product. Think Kabosu ‘Only Fans’ or DogeGPT or forking any tech or crypto product.

Even the small things are fun to us, press articles, podcast intros, Cameos, bumper stickers, adopting a highway, billboards, snowmen, snow-women, growth hacking, education, ‘have you seen this dog’ posters, bounties on Layer3/Galxe/Crew3/Prop House, and beyond.
